I took these images using 35mm 400iso colour film, I wanted to experiment with different types of lighting and how they would look n film so i used fairy lights. I had to wait until the sun was starting to set so that there would be enough available light still but that the fair lights would be visible (long exposures weren't really an option because the people wouldn't be able to stay perfectly still during the exposure). Here I have tried converting one of the images to black and white after i scanned my prints in to see what effect that would give the image. Although I did like the results i got from this shoot I know i need to develop the idea further, i may try long exposures with darker surroundings as i feel this will give a lot more emphasis on how the image is being lit and you will see the effect that the fairy lights give more clearly.
